they dont do much, they dont say much...except ' this too shall pass'....
many times i wondered why do they say so ??
saying it out doesnt really solve the problem...
mabbe its jst to console you, to make you feel better.. its not a remedy..doesn't solve the problem..doesnt help you in any way... then why do they say so ??
One saturday afternoon, I was discussing this with my granny ..and here is what she had to say.....
well.. it surely aint the remedy, but it can definitely help you in finding your way ..
face the problem not as a problem... dont panic when you face one...
whenever you think something is completely over-powering you, calm down and think about its 'magnitude'..
at first it might seem to be huge enough to completely ruin your world...
on thinking further, you will realise that its just good enough to spoil one week of yours...
hmm....you will be thrilled cos suddenly this problem would seem to have shrunk its size...think a little more....
a week would seem too long a period .. so you would come down to a day or two....
Now think about all the good days that you have had....
i ' m sure they would be in hundreds.... and come back to these two or three days of despair....does the problem still seem to be big enough ?? :-)
When you have shrunk the magnitude of a problem to this minute level, your mind is free to work to find the solution...
You need a mind free of overheads when you try to find solutions...
Many times you succumb to hard times only because you allow it to over power u...
Nothing is big enough to ruin your day..
Difficult times are difficult till you think they are...
No one but you can help yourself out...
People might know the cause of the problem, they might know the effect, but no one other than you can find the solution.....
They console you only to assure you that things would be better soon...
"This too shall pass" is only to remind you of the triumphs you have had in the past ..
Its just to reassure you that you are strong enough to deal with it.. ..
Nothing can ruin your world unless you want it to....
at the end of the day, "Every cloud has a silver lining."

Ekdum amazing hai bhiddu....loved it..respect bad gayi tere liye... :)
Thats a wise one :) . Your granny couldnt be more correct. We always tend to hype up the problems we face. Taking a step back n thinking clearly puts things into perspective, helps you get ahead of it.
"This too shall pass", although it sounds profound, it isnt really so. Fleeting moments are what life is all about, isnt it ?
Good going with blogs :)
Your granny's ideas though simple are profound.
The part that struck me was the objective analysis of the problem at hand. Most of the time we are not capable of doing that... hence not able to see the larger picture. Coz when u do see it.. you will definitely realize the problem is actually a challenge that will open new doors and opportunities.
Difficult to put things in perspective though.. :) Hence need a friend to not just console but to put things in perspective.
hey :-)
thank you all for reading the post and writing in your comments...
