We proved once again that we are indeed the “Plastic" Mumbaikars… !
For us, the Mumbai spirit sets in only when we are attacked by the terrorists or maybe when we need to blame the government!
But hey when it comes to fulfilling our responsibilities, we either go on vacation, or…eh.... well we have the scotching heat as an excuse to refrain from our duty … or...maybe we just don’t bother and chill out at home and watch T20.
Business Capital of the country; maximum city but only 44% voting!!!
WOW !!!! What a Pity!!
- How can we point fingers on the government when we do not fulfill our duty ?..the duty of every citizen of this democratic country!
- Will we achieve anything by just lighting candles at the Gateway of India or having peace rallys?
- We often say that the government makes thousands of false promises post any attack or crisis.! Aren’t we practicing the same?
- How can we talk about corruption when we ourselves are so corrupt??
Hey plastic mumbaikar… wake up dude !!!

very true... but are all the remaining 56 % ignorant of their duties ?? Well, for most of them the obvious Q would be : Is it really worth ? whether its Candidate A or Candidate B, are they all not the same old wine packed in different bottles ... Ofcourse people should vote, but i think the need of the hour is a political party or a candidate with a difference, with some practical approach, and it sure will lure the 'junta' to vote.
Some great personality had once said, people in our country have never been groomed to put "responsibility" first and then "rights"
I agree with you and with Girish. As a people we need to be far more involved in the government of our country...and no, complaining about things does not count as involvement. But, we also need to believe in a party or a candidate sufficiently enough to want to see them in power.
I agree with you all. My concern, however, is that how many of us really try to change this? Well, did we push our family, friends, neighbors, colleagues to bring themselves to exercise the right? If everyone among us can bring one additional person along with us, I don't see why the picture wouldn't change...
Go India Go!
Thank you for the comments..
I agree with you all.
