its been a year....

I was very apprehensive about starting my own blog..
For one, I wasnt sure about the kind of things that I would write.. And two, if I would keep blogging... ?
Nonetheless, I decided to give it a try... and now that it has completed a year,
this just feels great..

Blogging helped me to connect to many people, to know their point of view about different things.. I made some new friends as well :-)
It provided me with many beautiful write-ups to read and at the same time gave me a platform to put my thoughts into words...
I started to enjoy it soo much that though I might not be writing but I do read many of the blogs regularly..
Today, it has definitely become a part of my routine and something that I really cherish..

Special mention to the bloggers who are listed on my blog-roll..
Guys, you are doing a wonderful job... :-)

the apathetic mumbaikars !

Yes we have done it again.

We proved once again that we are indeed the “Plastic" Mumbaikars… !

For us, the Mumbai spirit sets in only when we are attacked by the terrorists or maybe when we need to blame the government!

But hey when it comes to fulfilling our responsibilities, we either go on vacation, or…eh.... well we have the scotching heat as an excuse to refrain from our duty … or...maybe we just don’t bother and chill out at home and watch T20.

WOW !!!! What a Pity!!

• How can we point fingers on the government when we do not fulfill our duty ?..the duty of every citizen of this democratic country!
• Will we achieve anything by just lighting candles at the Gateway of India or having peace rallys?
• We often say that the government makes thousands of false promises post any attack or crisis.! Aren’t we practicing the same?
• How can we talk about corruption when we ourselves are so corrupt??

Whoa... its May !!
I always felt that the first half of every year passes by the blink of an eye.. and this year too is no exception :-)

Well well... lots of things happened in the last four months that kept me busy..

After a hiatus of 2 months, I resumed work.. So there I was back to my normal work day which includes 3 hours of travelling, meeting my buddies from the office-group, catching up on the latest developments, having luncheons in kaydees/ozone, team parties, birthday parties and yea not to forget.. attending meetings and also logging on to the workstation ;)..
Getting back to work was fun.

Was back in the social circle....had many reunion and farewell parties, got in touch with many-many friends.. revisited our college campus, met many of the professors. Well, it was a very overwhelming experience...

We had few family outings as well.. My favouritest of them was the trip to Mahabaleshwar for my parents wedding anniversary :-) This trip,by far, was one of our most relaxing and fun filled trip and ofcourse there were strawberries too ;)... It was the famous strawberry festival that week, so we had strawberry milkshakes, strawberry icecreams, strawberry n cream, strawberry cakes, strawberry juices, jellys, chocolates..wow...all in abundance :)

Then I was back to my books... :-) I read and re-read lots of novels -alchemist (the 3rd time ;) ,, secret,brida, white tiger,the zahir,almost single, monkey business, games indian play,ultimate gift (2nd read)...and many more...

Lots of activities, lot many fun moments... and couple of important decisions and actions.... aha !! More on that, laterzzzz ;-)
